Hello again fair readers! Yes it has been quite a long time between posts. "Why?" you may ask, well, life gets in the way. I'm not a professional photographer, quite the opposite actually. And as much as I love photography and sharing it with the world in general (and you folks in particular) you have to have the time to take the dang photos before you can play with them in the digital darkroom and post them for somebody to look at.
My time has been extremely limited the last couple of years. I am a physical therapist by trade and I currently work in a medical ICU at a large teaching hospital in my area. As we are all aware 2020 was the beginning of a pandemic that disrupted pretty much everyone's lives to a greater or lesser extent. As you could probably guess was maybe more hectic than many as I did not get to stay home. I transitioned from all post operative orthopedics to full time ICU working with COVID patients. Plus I sold my home, my family and I moved in with my 89 year old mom for 6 months and bought a new home. Needless to say it was quite the complicated and stressful time. I have struggled to come to terms with all that went on through COVID, both in the ICU's and in society in general. Someday I may gain enough perspective to be able to write a post about it, but that is not all THAT likely, it was... hard, frightening, indescribable really.
Anywho, I'm now hopefully able to get back to doing some more photography and maundering on, here on this blog. I hope I can provide something vaguely interesting in the future.
